Taraji P. Henson, Gina Rodriguez, & Emma Roberts Shimmer For ‘Glamour’! (Photos)
See highlights from the beautiful ladies’ interview with the mag below:
Taraji, on being a mom first: “I’m a mother first. I’m not trying to bring this guy and this guy around. I’m raising my son, and he’s gonna respect women, and that starts with me. [Dating] in the spotlight—I have to consider my son. I don’t want to make it uncomfortable for him when he goes to school with his peers. And I have to answer to my mom too. And my 91-year-old grandmother. I can’t be like, ‘Nothing, Grandma, I didn’t do it; it’s just a [picture of a] girl that looks like me, I promise!’”
Gina, on what lessons her dad has taught her: A real leader, in my opinion, is one who creates other leaders. And that’s what my father did. He taught my siblings and me how to be leaders. There was never an ego situation where he needed to know we were following him.
Emma, on what made her want to become an actress: “My mom and I would stay with my Aunt Julia when I was really young, so I grew up on sets. I just found this old Polaroid of me on the set of Erin Brockovich, in one of my Aunt Julia’s super-padded dresses from the movie, with the biggest smile on my face. I’d cry when I had to leave. I loved that it felt like camp.”
